"Give them an inch and they'll take a mile". Where do government handouts end? Maybe a more important question is where did they begin. Many over the years have given credit to President Roosevelt and the "New deal" for getting us out of the depression and getting the country back on track. I believe that the founding fathers would have disagreed with that, just as they did in their day. I also believe that they would beyond doubt, disagree with the "Bailout". Our leaders have become more that reckless with our money. They are now handing it out like candy on Halloween. They are printing it out of thin air and handing over the debt to our children. These ideas really come from Marx and others who felt that it was the governments job to "Level" the playing field. I'm surprised that more Americans are not irate over this atrocity.
They real reason why the founders didn't want the government to be involved in the redistribution of wealth is so that too much power didn't end up in the governments hands. The whole idea behind the constitution is to keep power out of the hands of our leaders. Not only was is designed to have checks and balances, but also to keep our leaders from gaining too much power.
The founders called this abuse of power Tyranny. How do you determine who receives of this "Charity" and who doesn't?

That seems to be the question no one is asking. Not only are they making a bad decision(that we are allowing), now we are going to just let them choose where is all goes?!? That is just amazing! The blindness and ignorance is astounding. Is anyone paying attention? I think maybe there is just too many who are afraid to voice an opinion, or who dont think that theirs matters. Hey, lets face it, it really seems that way most of the time. But thats why we need everyone to step up, out of their comfort zones, and do something!
